So. This is me.
Who am I? It's a good question, and one I strive to answer everyday in some way shape or form in my writing. They say that each writer has his own central set of issues that seep out in his work. Mine happens to be, among others, the search for identity.
Who am I? I'm a professional writer living in the western part of Canada. I've written screenplays, one of which has gotten optioned but not made (yet). I've written short films, many of which did get made with varying degrees of success. My articles that have appeared in magazines both print and online, both here in Canada and in the Philippines. My short fiction has also appeared in a Philippine anthology series. And I work as a story editor as well, with clients in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and the Philippines.
My current projects include a soon to be released video game, details to follow, and a forthcoming web-comic. I am also trying to work on my long stalled novel.
Who am I? I am a guy who's been married for two years to a woman I've dated for eleven years, firmly believing in the power of romance and love. I am a dreamer trying to be a realist, idealism vying with practicality, but never losing hope.
Who am I? I'm a voracious reader whose favourite books include "The Shadow of the Wind" and "The Angel's Game" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I'm a film junkie in love with Wong Kar-Wai and Hayao Miyazaki's films, among others. I'm a music lover who thinks that Hilary Hahn is this generations greatest violinist. I'm a former/trying to be current athlete whose passion for all things Manchester United knows no bounds. I'm also an avid video game junkie, counting Fallout 3 and Uncharted 2 as some of my favourite games of this generation. Don't get me started about the older ones unless you have a couple of days to spare.
Who am I? My name is Thomas. And I'm very happy to meet you.
